I just moved to the Kootenays with a decade in the trades, and I'll be straight with you — I'm not the tradesman who's been here forever. I'm the one who chose to be here. After years on the tools, I'd rather build something I'm proud of in a town I love than chase volume somewhere I'm just passing through. Pro Coat is that — a small, careful operation set up to do interior painting properly, for the people who live here.
The crew working in your home are people who live in this town — your neighbours. They care about doing right by you because they'll see you at the grocery store, the trail, the school pickup, the Saturday market. We're not a regional outfit driving in to grab a job — we live next door, and we run our business that way.

What's the difference between Good, Better, and Best?
Good: one-coat refresh on walls only, contractor-grade paint, light prep — for rentals or tight budgets. Better (most popular): two coats of premium low-VOC paint on walls, trim, and doors with full prep. Best: two coats of top-tier paint over a full primer coat across walls, trim, doors, and ceilings — meticulous prep and a 5-year warranty.
How long does a typical job take?
Most rooms take 1–2 days; a full home interior runs 3–7 days. We commit to a timeline in writing before we start.
What paints do you use?
Premium lines from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams, with low-VOC options on every interior. We recommend the right product for each room and surface.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully licensed in British Columbia, with liability insurance and WCB/workers' comp coverage. We're happy to send you copies before we start.
What does the warranty cover?
Every job comes with a written workmanship warranty covering peeling, blistering, and flaking from improper application or prep. Good includes 1 year, Better 2 years, and Best 5 years. You get it in writing with every invoice.
